Shaping the Next Generation of Health Information Practices
As a partner at Daylight, I helped the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation define the future of health information by envisioning systems and practices that make data more accessible, actionable, and trustworthy. I explored how emerging digital tools could support seamless collaboration between patients, their families, and care teams—improving communication, coordination, and shared decision-making.

Strategy, concept, and detailed design for several major banks
I’ve helped several major financial institutions with new product and service development. This included conducting user research to uncover needs and opportunities, envisioning future customer journeys, developing concepts, and creating detailed designs. The work resulted in the launch of impactful tools and features, as well as a number of patents.

UX innovations deployed on over 25% of all smartphones
I developed a series of service innovations—created during my time at Daylight—that have since been deployed on over 25% of all smartphones worldwide. These features introduced new, emotionally resonant ways for people to communicate and interact, going beyond conventional text and voice, and have become part of everyday communication for 1.56 billion users globally.

A point of view for a philanthropic tech startup
For several years, the team at Daylight partnered with Bay Area incubator HopeLab to investigate the roots of sedentary behavior in teens. Through in-depth research, we uncovered emotional, social, and environmental factors driving inactivity. These insights shaped strategic recommendations for designing interventions that genuinely resonate with teens and promote more active lifestyles.

Strategy for Google-Acquired startup
I defined and led the user research strategy for a startup that was later acquired by Google for $50M. The work clarified key priorities, established scalable research practices, and uncovered insights that shaped product direction and helped the team focus on the highest-impact opportunities. Research also played a central role in aligning cross-functional teams and demonstrating user value to investors and acquirers — making the Daylight contribution core to their approach.

Music strategy for a major cellular provider
This project explored how music is discovered and shared through social connections, both online and in person. Research and concept development uncovered opportunities to leverage the network’s infrastructure to enable richer sharing, real-time engagement, and new forms of social connection.

SaaS solution for a chronic condition
I partnered with a medical startup to design a SaaS platform for managing a chronic health condition, balancing the needs of patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders. The work began by synthesizing existing research into design opportunities, then moved through concept development, prototyping, and close collaboration with an offshore development team to bring the product to market.

Reinventing digital communication, visually
This project, for a major consumer electronics company, defined a new approach to digital communication with a focus on mobile and tablet experiences. Aiming to make interactions more expressive, visual, and emotionally resonant, it led to a series of UI/UX innovations that reimagined how people connect in more creative, intuitive, and human-centered ways.

UX/UI for new-to-world laparoscopic system
I led the UX/UI design for a new medical device that reinvented a common laparoscopic procedure using a sensor-based, electronics-driven system. Replacing analog tools, it introduced entirely new workflows and interactions. I worked closely with surgeons and engineers to design an intuitive, safety-focused interface that improved patient outcomes.
